If needed, QuantumStep can purchase and/or build the system for you. When it’s ready, QuantumStep can install and configure your new PC, and connect it to your network and/or internet access.

Building PCs with specific performance objectives is one of our special talents. For the grown-up kid at heart that needs a monster game PC, a really fast graphics workstation or a high thoughput database/spreadsheet cruncher , we can do it all for you. The vast array of deals and options out there can be a mystifying experience for you but we’ll demystify it and obtain the best pricing, we’ll translate the fine print, and untangle the jungle of options and add-ons. Best of all, we can install and setup your internet service for you.
PC Troubleshooting
Got a problem with your PC or systems? When things go wrong, it’s usually at the worst time. QuantumStep’s People are skilled at quickly determining the problem with your PC, and, in most cases, fixing it right away.
If you hardware has broken or is unworkable, QuantumStep People will give you the best options for getting your system up and running quickly.
While it may not have been on your agenda, a breakdown may be the ideal time to upgrade a system, or improve performance, functionality, or storage capacity.
PC Sales
QuantumStep provides computers, servers and networking equipment. Equipment that is considered basics are available at competitive pricing. We’re probably not going to be the cheapest but our competition doesn’t deliver for free.
On items that we order for you we charge a small, fixed markup. And we still deliver it for free.
Hardware Installations/Upgrades
Okay, installing hardware can be a pretty scary procedure, even when you’ve been around computers for years. QuantumStep can help you through the process in a number of ways -- whether you are adding a bigger disk drive, more RAM, a scanner, or other hardware upgrades, replacements or additions, we can provide recommendations for best achieving your technology goals, we can scout out the best brands and sources from which to obtain parts – at the best prices possible, and we can install it all for you. Plus, we guarantee everything works as it should when it’s all put back together.
Software Installations/Upgrades
Installing software or upgrading your computer operating system shouldn’t be painful, perilous or scary. However, if it is just not something you look forward to doing, give QuantumStep a call.
By setting things up correctly the first time, QuantumStep will make any software installation or upgrade painless for you. The techs know how to locate the updated drivers and all the “tricks and secrets” that aren’t described in the manuals. And, yes, we do love to read those manuals. We can also discuss with you the effect software packages have when combined with other software and options, which packages will degrade a system’s performances, which ones will enhance it.
Visual Helpdesk
If your business or home-based office is served by a broadband (cable, T-1, DSL) internet connection, QuantumStep is able to connect to your workstations and servers for Visual Helpdesk Support from a our office.
What’s the benefit of this? If a problem arises with your system, QuantumStep can take control of your computer from another location and see the problem instead of trying to describe the problem over the phone. When you need assistance immediately, this is a terrific solution. There’s no waiting for an appointment or requiring emergency assistance.
However, if your computer set up does not meet the requirements for our Visual Helpdesk option, we can still assist you with troubleshooting via phone.
