Dr.  Robert C.  Nelson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NLabel, Inc., managed the planning, development, and successful implementation of the U.S.  Food and Drug Administration’s Adverse Event Reporting System (AERS), an internationally standardized electronic system for the management and e-submission of safety data on pharmaceuticals.  Dr.  Nelson has advanced degrees in clinical pharmacy, business administration, and epidemiology.  He is an internationally renowned expert in drug safety and pharmacoepidemiology. Since retiring from the United States Public Health Service (USPHS) in March 1998 after 23 years, most with the FDA, he has run a successful business consultancy to the pharmaceutical industry on drug safety, postmarketing surveillance, risk management, and regulatory affairs.  He also consults on product design to Relsys International and QED Solutions, Inc., software companies serving the pharmaceutical industry. 

Shirl G.  Nelson is the Chief Operating Officer and other member of the NLabel, Inc.  initial senior management team.  Ms.  Nelson has managed administrative operations including planning, finance, personnel, procurement, and information technology support for large organizations. Before retiring from federal service in  October 2000, Ms. Nelson served as the U.S. Department of Commerce Director for Acquisition Management, the Director for Administration of the Bureau of Export  Administration, and the Deputy Assistant Secretary for the National  Telecommunications and Information Administration.

Victor V.  Gogolak, Director, brings 30 years of scientific, technology and industry experience, the last 12 years focusing on the pharmaceutical industry with the most recent, a 5-year  concentration in issues of drug safety.  He was formerly a partner with Booz Allen & Hamilton, where he led the pharmaceutical practice.  Earlier, he was a founding shareholder and senior executive with Titan Corporation (TTN). 

Claudio Spiguel, Ph.D., is the Executive in Residence and Professor of Business, University of Delaware. Dr.  Spiguel is the former Vice President of Information Management for Astra-Zeneca, a global pharmaceutical company.
